Ballet Production Week Reminders

 Our ballet production is almost here and we could not be more excited!  Our dancers and teachers have worked so hard to prepare for these performances!  We cannot wait to see everyone on stage!

   We just wanted to give you a few reminders for this week:

1. Studio Closure - CAA will be closed Monday, February 12th through Saturday, February 17th for our ballet rehearsals & performances.  NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD THIS WEEK.  This includes ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, ballroom, and dance tricks classes.  All of our faculty and staff will be needed at Clearfield High School to help with the ballet. Just as a reminder, all students will have the opportunity to take an unlimited number of makeup classes during our Open Classes Weeks in May!
2. CAA will be closed on Presidents’ Day on Monday, February 19th.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 20th.
3. Tickets - Dancers who are performing in the ballet will receive four complimentary tickets and can buy any additional tickets they may need. Tickets are $8 and may purchased with cash or check made out to Creative Arts Academy.  (We cannot charge tickets to your account.)  Tickets will be available at CAA front desk during our regular office hours, at Clearfield High School during dress rehearsals from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm, and at the door before each performance.  
4. Dress Rehearsals - For those performing in the ballet, please be sure to double-check your dress rehearsals times.  All dress rehearsals are mandatory.  Dancers should arrive 15 minutes early for their rehearsal in costume, with hair slicked straight back in a neat ballet bun and make up done. Just as a reminder, because rehearsals are broken down into acts, dancers may need to wait a while before they perform, or they may be finished early in their assigned time slot.  We want our dancers to look their best, so please be patient with the rehearsal process.
5. Clearfield High School - Dress rehearsals and performances are at Clearfield High School.  You may park in the main parking lot and enter into the building on the south side.  We will place posters on the appropriate doors.   (Please be sure to avoid parking on the driving range.)  For rehearsals, please go straight into the auditorium and wait until your class is called to perform.
6. Please Check Emails - We send all information regarding classes, performances, rehearsals, etc. through email.  It is incredibly important that you are checking your email regularly and reading the emails thoroughly.  Please be aware that you can check all past emails in your parent portal. 

  We want to thank everyone for your incredible support and patience with the move up to Clearfield High School this year.  With Viewmont and Woods Cross under construction, we are so lucky to have any space for our production!  It is such a beautiful facility we know you will love it!  We also want to thank you for your support during President’s Day weekend.  We are at the mercy of the school’s schedule and these were the only dates we were able to secure.  We appreciate your understanding with scheduling and look forward to spending an incredible holiday weekend with our amazing CAA family!
