Teen Division: 1st place overall group -- Disconnect 2nd place overall group -- Reminisce 1st place overall line -- DJ Ease My Mind 1st place lyrical -- Reminisce 1st place contemporary, DJ's Pick, and Best Nu Group -- Disconnect 1st place ballet -- Cello Junior and Mini Division: Youthful Trek (Junior Division) -- 2nd place overall Group category, 1st place contemporary, Best Nu Group Tesselate (Mini Division) -- 3rd place overall Line category Solos: CAA students placed 1st and 3rd in the Teen division and 3rd in the Junior division. In addition, multiple CAA students were finalists for the Breakout Dancer Scholarship and one student won the Breakout Dancer Scholarship. Way to go ladies! Great end to Season 2!! Can't wait for Season 3 to begin!

Nice job at the LA Dance Magic Convention CAA Touring Companies -- 1st place overall for the Teen Group category and 1st place overall for the Teen Line category. 1st place lyrical for the Mini category and 2nd place jazz for the Mini category.
Congratulations to CAA students Julia Dushku for winning State Sterling Scholar for Dance in the State of Utah and Caroline Martin for placing as runner-up. Way to go ladies! We are so proud!
Congratulations to our Ginger company girls who attended their first dance competition ever at Releve -- first place in their category for both dances and top choreography award. Way to go Ginger company!!
CAA's Touring Companies received 2nd and 3rd place overall (Junior Small Group), 3rd and 5th overall (Teen Small Group) and 5th overall (Teen Large Group) at the Adrenaline Dance Convention along with multiple scholarships. Great job.

CAA dancers received multiple scholarships as well. Way to go ladies.
Congratulations to CAA's Ballet Company on its recent success at the Denver semi-final of the Youth America Grand Prix. CAA was recognized as "Outstanding School" and received 1st place in the Ensemble category. In addition, CAA students received a 3rd place award (contemporary) and top 12 awards in all age categories.
CAA's Touring Companies received first place in the Open and Contemporary Categories (Senior Division), overall first place (Teen Division) and first place Lyrical (Teen Division) and first place Contemporary and Lyrical in the Junior Division.
Creative Arts Academy proudly presents The Sleeping Beauty with special guest artist Joshua Whitehead, Company Member, Ballet West. Performances are Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. and Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah. We are so excited about our upcoming Benefit Concert on December 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.!! It is being held at Viewmont High School. There will be some great dancing and wonderful silent auction items such as pairs of pointe shoes signed by members of Ballet West, tee shirts signed by members of Ririe Woodbury, and gift baskets prepared by CAA's dance companies. It is a great cause and we look forward to seeing you there to support Cami Carver and her fight against cancer. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family.
Also, at 4:00 p.m. that same day, we will have our solo showcase for dancers who are taking solos to Youth America Grand Prix, NUVO, JUMP, and Hollywood Vibe this year. The solo showcase is free of charge and our dancers would love to have your support. |
