Pre-Pointe*

Pre-pointe is a technique class that is the second progression for the student interested in going en pointe. This class further focuses on strengthening exercises, alignment, and foot articulation to prepare students for pointe work. Students must be enrolled in pre-pointe to be considered for pointe. Additionally, all students must pass a readiness evaluation before beginning pointe.

When students have taken at least one year of pre-pointe and have passed the pointe readiness evaluation, students will begin dancing en pointe. This class will focus on pointe technique including strengthening exercises, barre work, center technique, and ballet variations.
